My son started having problems with his '03 Lincoln LS over a year ago. The car lost power and went into safe mode. He has spent over $3,000 and has had the following replaced; All catalytic converters, all spark plugs and engine coils, EGR valve, thermostat, PCM, and throttle body. He was able to drive it home from the Ford dealership after the last attempt which was the throttle body. The car ran fine on the way home and when he got back in it that afternoon to go to work it would start but once again no power. Ford said to bring it back in (or once again pay for another tow) and they would try something else. By this time my son has given up and we think they really don't know what they're doing. We were told that the code read that the parts replaced were bad and all they could do was process of elimination. My son parked car and bought a motorcycle for the summer. Just has it towed to a different Ford dealership and they called today to say it could be in the wiring and they would have to remove the dash which will be $400.00 just to take a look. I have a feeling we are about to relive the same nightmare. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Codes do not tell you what to replace but what circuit has a problem and if a dealer or any real tech is just tossing parts as mentioned you are dealing with the wrong person or place.

Get this properly diagnosed. If you somehow have a wiring mess or damage including hacked up aftermarket things this could be a nightmare,

Which engine?

Just curious, but which trouble code number(s) is it storing?

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
