2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, 5.7Hemi with 112K miles. About 6 months ago the rear end would bounce when braking to a stop. Not vibrate, but bounce up and down. When I push harder on the brake pedal the bouncing stops. When I let up on the pedal and brake at a normal applied pressure, it starts bouncing again. I have rotated the tires, had the tires balanced, replaced rear rotor and pads. Nothing has fixed the problem.

I would start off by making sure your shocks are in good working order, not leaking & not weak.......

Yes. I put new shocks front and back about 2 weeks ago.

Nope. This has been occuring for about 4 - 5 months. I have been systematically replacing parts to see what is causing the problem. I have replaced: rotors, pads, shocks, & rotated/balanced tires. Still have the problem.

What you can try is to put some weight in the bed, get a few hundred pounds in there and see if the makes a difference..... You might have something going on with the springs.....

Also make sure this isn't something with some bad roads........... I have a Dakota that will hop pretty bad in on certain roads unloaded...
