02 Cavalier - Dash icons lit up all at once while I was driving Sign In

2002 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 101400 miles

Yesterday while I was driving approx. 40 mph, all the dashboard icons lit up all at once and the car made a dinging noise (like when it wants you to put your seatbelt on). It stopped after a second or two but then did it again about 3 minutes later! The car stays on and nothing else happens, but I have no idea what the problem could be, or if it could be more serious!! Is it safe to drive? What could this be?
I have a new alternator (about 5 months ago) and battery (6 months ago)....When this happened the first time, I was not accelerating, I was actually letting off the gas to slow down while approaching a stop sign. The second time it was while starting to gain speed after coming out of a stop sign. I never had to pull over, the car never lost power or steering....Any help would be much appreciated!!

I would check your charging system ,, even though it is not that old... Some parts last 1 day or 20 years so dont count them out and check that your connections are clean and tight...

Its not called bragging,, if you can back it up....

We'll see, I'm hoping it's something as simple as a bad connection or something. I have it at my mechanic's right now and am waiting to hear. Later the same day I posted this originally, I went to lunch and my car did the same thing, this time when I turned my heater on?!?! but, unlike the day before...the car did lose power thi time and I had to wait about 10-15 seconds before it would start again. I'll update once I have a confirmed diagnostics.

Thank you!!
