I have a 2001 Nissan altima. basic model 4 cyl motor. it will over heat going up hills when a/c is on . it doesn't over heat when a/c is off and i can use a/c all i want through out town until i hit rolling hills. I have replaced thermostat, radiator and hoses. and it passed a test for head gasket but mechanic says it acts like its a head gasket leak but it not leaking. winter time there is no heat unless i have been driving for 1/2 hour but its light heat . it has over heated since i replaced thermostat so it might be stuck open again. when it did over heat the car shut off and i waited 15 minutes and started it back up all was normal including engine temp and it run excellent. any ideas what it could be?
