oil coming out of spark plug hole in f150

hello
i have 95 f150 6 cyl. it has been missing and dying alot lately,and white smoke coming out of tailpipe. today after investigating more, i found oil coming out of spark plug hole. is this a ring,or head gasket? how expensive, around a grand? could i do this myself?

Don't know when it ended but the 300 six was known to stretch head bolts and would need new bolts and the head gasket if so. Best not to wait. Check fluids often and get it taken care of. Good luck - T
