car will not move

I have a 95 pontiac transport. This morning turned the engine on, fine, but the car will not move whatever gear I move into. Its 'trying' to do so, but just groans as if the brake were on. What gives ? Transmission ?

Get ready for trouble but check the fluid level in the trans and if real low and that works you need to find out where it's going! Good luck hope it's simple but don't think so,
