OK, tried to post this to my thread that I started today but for some reason no posting button on screen. Did some research on some other auto tech forums and it appears that the problem might be a failed purge control valve (stuck in the open position). All the symptoms I described match perfectly! When the gas tank is filled up the vapors are pushed into the intake manifold cuz the valve is stuck open. This creates a flooding situation. It clears up after a couple of minutes of stalling and restarting the engine because the flooding is eliminated by driving for a couple of minutes. Now...…..
Can anyone tell me where the purge control valve for a 2007 Optima V6 engine is located?

Old thread is locked so no more posting on it. You can't run low on fuel - end of the reasons. Fuel pumps take the hit it's gasping for life now expect it to fail anytime. You can replace other items at that time also if you want it will do it all over again if you don't quit that habit,
