Hi I have a 2001 fiesta freestyle. I had the brake pads and shoes changed 2 days and all was good but yesterday when I was on the motorway travelling home from work my car kind of jerked and then the engine management light started flashing and I lost some acceleration. The engine sounds really rough and and I can't accelerate to much beyond 50 or 60 mph at the most. When I looked under the bonnet today the lid of the oil tank had come off and there was some but not lots of oil splattered around. I checked the oil and the level is fine. What could it be? Could it be linked to having the brakes done or is that just coincidence? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
