Engine shaking and fault codes.

So I just bought a 2001 Volkswagen GTI and it seems sluggish. and the engine shakes. My friend told me it could be a broken engine mount. I also have some fault lights appear on the dashboard. The abs and a triangle with exclamation mark with a circle around it as well as the CEL. Can someone diagnose the problem? Also there is an exhaust leak mid ways back from the front of car to the back.

Nobody can do anything until you have your codes read and post the numbers here.
The ABS and the CEL will be two separate problems.
