Engine problems Sign In

I've got a 2001 chrysler cirrus, 2.5L v6. I don't know much about cars but I'll attempt to describe my problem. The car shakes while idling and upon acceleration seems to miss out and shake a but. My father in law checked the car and discovered the spark plugs were lifted up off the engine block. We pushed them back down and it seemed to be a quick fix until the problem continued. So we replaced the front three spark plugs and the gasket valve cover. The plug covers were covered in oil when we pulled them out so we cleaned them as well. This seemed to fix our issue but after a day of driving the car is continuing the problem and the check engine light is now on. He ran the codes and the car passed. Not sure what the issue could be?? Any help would be much appreciated!

You probably have leaking valve cover gaskets and the plugs and boots are saturated in oil. Probably have to change them all.
