Hi everybody.
First of all I want to apologize for my english

Have problem with my old van Citroen C15.
engine: 1,9D atmosferic
engine type: DW8B
engine code: WJX
kilometers: 250 000

Engine can start, but very bad. Battery is new, starter works good, glow plugs ok, fuel filter new. Valve clearances adjusted. Compression pressure 1st cyl.: 29 Bar (420Psi), 2nd cyl.:29 Bar (420Psi), 3rd cyl.: 30 Bar (435Psi), 4th cyl.: 30 Bar (435Psi). Injectors revised, seems to be good. I tested the stop solenoid on diesel pump.
I do not know what could it be...

What do you mean by very bad? Has your mechanic looked at it?

First glow and then need to crank it for 10 seconds, or more. When the engine is cold, it is slighty better, when hot is worse.

As Discretesignals said limited info for this for us.
Worse it wasn't a strong topic about diesels at all for me in any tech training and live in cooler climate way back they about all were a pest to start in the cold.
So, what I do know it they fire on heat of compression and that seems right so what's next. Fuel pressure in them need be high and steady AND on time. Have to leave it to you to find fuel pressure specification range and a way to test it. By all rights things should be better when warmed up not worse so leads me to fuel pressure.
Other nasty was water in fuel or if this just with new fuel filter might have a procedure to do those properly. Ones I did had a drain for water and screwed on like an oil filter and needed all air out before still a hard first start then fine.
I'm asking! How are you so sure glow plugs are really adequate? But then, that should be more for initial start not so much later.
