At my wits end -Codes P1130 P1150 P1131 P1151 Sign In

P1130 P1150 P1131 P1151
Hello I'm in need of some serious help . 1996 Lincoln Town Car 4.6 , V-8 with 97000 miles I did a motor swap as the old motor was toast Anywhoooo my used new engine keeps throwing these codes. I have checked for vacuum leaks -none that i can find . I did a water and also a ether spray test . I acquired the good engine from a parts car i purchased . Its a twin to the one i'm working on it ran great no CODES. I did a fuel pressure check 35-40 lbs also installed a new Fuel pressure regulator . I don't think its a fuel issue ? Or vacuum leak ? I cleaned the Maf sensor . Swapped the plug wires , gas cap , PCV out of the parts car . The car has good power but does stubble the odd time . Gets good gas mileage . At an idle it well run perfect then the odd time its missing/stumbles ect . I have done many other things to try to cure this issue . ANY HELP- suggestions ? PLease

after we get this resized and readable I am sure we can assist.
any chance you pinched a wire harness?
all codes are o2 sensor issues likely no or bad signal - do you have a scanner?

This note first in case I fail at "resizing" first post that makes this unreadable.
If you see this and no more responses please start a new thread,

No other codes?
- neither vehicle was CNG , no exhaust leaks, have yu checked EGR, EVAP, water in exhaust.
I would look at the sensor voltages then try to manipulate them - add a fuel to confirm they are adjusting.
Confirm system reaches ECT and closed loop,
Get a copy of ford ford tsb 01-9-7 - google. Good o2 sensor testing info there

Hello
i'm an old school back yard Mechanic . I donot know all your acronyms ? Your suggestions are over my head . Can you please explain in better detail ? I have changed out a couple of 02 sensors with used ones of the parts car . No success . I have no other codes . Then P1130 P1150 P1131 P1151 . I have no loss of coolant . I have good grounds cleaned and inspected . The fire wall ground is good and also the rear ground off the tran. I removed the EGR and cleaned it . I did a mouth suk/vacuum check it seems to move free ? I have changed up one of the VMV . There seems to be 2 ? One on the intake and one on the firewall ? I swapped out the intake one with one off the parts car . Once again the parts car ran smooth no issues or codes so I'm hoping the parts I'm using are healthy ones . I checked the EVAP hoses/canister for breaks ect . I have no idea how to perform a proper CHECK on this ? I'm also unsure how to ADD fuel for 02 sensor check ? I did a fuel pressure check 35-40 lbs . I installed a NEW fuel pressure regulator . I installed the ECT off the parts working Car . The link you gave me is huge.. I have lots to try and learn . I think i need a scan device . Whats is a good brand name and somewhat with in a cheap ass person such as my self to be able to purchase ?
Thanks for your help

OP = Original Poster so here's a link to a list of acronyms also called abbreviations common to motor vehicles.
Not on that list is CNG which means to me "Compressed Natural Gas" but not sure myself what was meant.

Link to a whole list of them you should know many is here

That's enough to mess with your head alone,

Re: At my wits end -Codes P1130 P1150 P1131 P1151 Sign In

The reference to CNG was something I saw in trouble tree, and with this eng swap I did not know if applicable.
The codes are all fixed sensors and lean - but the often seen lean codes are not showing (P0171 and p0174) so it will be necessary to see data actual sensor voltages- then spraying some carb or brake clean into engine they should go rich confirming sensors are ok.

exhaust leaks, vacuum leaks, clogged injectors, fuel supply, contaminated sensors, all come to mind.

They do not reboot. You can erase stored temp data like codes and adaptive memory using a scan tool.

I can't give you brand names. We use much different equipment. It just has to be capable of clearing codes and resetting adaptive. If you use a tool to just clear the codes, disconnecting the battery should reset the adaptives.

As a matter of fact I do. I have used that model pretty extensively..........

When it first came out it was an excellent value for it capabilities but it is primarily more useful for Euro cars rather than Domestic and Asian. The bigger problem is that it is pretty much obsolete now.

The MS908 is far superior and even does some programming. It is wireless and doubles as an Android tablet with all the features of a tablet with e-mail, browsers, Wifi, etc.
