99 corolla, 190K miles, burns 5qt oil in 1000 miles Sign In

I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla with 190K miles on it. Recently, I have seen its burning a lot of oil. I put in 5qt and it disappears within 1000 miles. There are no leaks whatsoever and there is no blue or white smoke coming off the exhaust. The car runs perfectly well, except this oil consumption issue. Can someone please guide me on what I can do without opening up the nuts and bolts of the entire engine. I read on some posts about seafoam or using B12 but not sure.

It can leak and only while running so you didn't find it yet. THAT'S way overboard excessive. No magic if you've kept it in safe full ranges find the problem without tricks. That's enough for miles IMO if orig so if engine is just worn or neglected another engine or decision time for this car to keep trying at all,

Your description just doesn't add up.

You can't burn 5 qts in 1,000 miles without smoke. I don't even think you can do it without fouling the plugs and killing the engine.

You need to first inspect for leaks on a lift with the engine running. The only thing that could explain this is a leak from a pressure point like the oil pressure sender or the oil filter.

There was an oil leak into the spark plug chambers for which I replaced the valve cover gasket and it no more leaks in there or anywhere outside of the engine. Even if I assume its leaking while driving, but the underneath of the car is completely dry which I am assuming means there is no leak.

And yes, I add the full 5 qt of oil and its all gone in 1000 - 1100 miles. I get a oil light in my dashboard and when I check the dipstick, the oil level is below the minimum line.

First off, the minimum line is only one quart low.

Did you let this run in one place as I suggested? Yes, it can leak straight to the ground without being all over the bottom of the car.

I'll say it again, you can't burn 5 quarts of oil without any smoke.

Put cardboard or similar under it where parked most or can run it there.
It can leak only when going along still miss making a mess to find.
Other is take a clean towel and wipe inside of tail-pipe if oily it's burning it you just don't notice could wait for a fully warm engine at some speed. It's too much oil not to leave a good clue.
Again: Miles may or may not matter but with this if slowly progressing was probably missed and went to dangerously too low only takes once would be clues for that but find where it's going first,
