98/99 Isuzu Trooper fuel system question Sign In

Hello, This is my first time posting hello to you all :D

I drive a 98 or 99 Isuzu trooper I am replacing the gas tank and I ran into a problem with the fuel system. I need the fuel pump assembly or housing. I have a picture of it. I can't seem to find it anywhere it's very badly rusted and needs to be replaced along with the gas tank. It was leaking very badly. I circled it in red and need a part number or an idea of where I can find such a piece. I live in the midwest and I am afraid a junkyard might just have similar rusted pieces. (salted roads)

It is identical in shape to number 9 on this diagram.

This is the top of the "housing" which is on top of a rubber seal and in between the gas tank

What's wrong with the dealer? That is where you buy parts like that.

OP - why is it you are unsure of the model year? Unless a cobbled vehicle made from two you probably need to pick one as would be known by its VIN#. No telling if a part has a slight change or total change by each model year so do find out.

Same with HT - that stuff would highly be dealer only for parts of the sort and the make of vehicle,

JACDJ58X0X7916464 I guess it's a 1999. I can't seem to find this fuel module anywhere except from the dealer for 500$ I tried part my ride and they have pumps for like 60ish bucks? not sure if its true or not.

Buying a just a pump will not get you the whole housing as you need.

Call around some salvage yards. Maybe they can locate one from Texas or Arizona that came out of a Trooper or Acura SLX.
