94 chevy s10 running rough and using gas Sign In

I had my pickup at the chevy garage 6 months ago and got new plugs, wires, and rotor. Last week it started to run really rough and using a lot of gas. Had the fuel filter changed, but it did no good. Could it be the new plugs or wire. some said maybe a emission hose could have fallon off. she has 130,000 miles. first time I have had a problem.

Which engine?
Seems you aren't doing any of this yourself or going to - right? Leaves suggestions at a loss as if so ask the place or tech you are having work done about it.

Everything mentioned could be causing an engine to run "rough" and use lots of fuel EXCEPT the fuel filter! Nice to have a know new one but who suggested that?

All hoses, wires you see should be in good shape and properly hooked up. New parts mishandles can be the problem or cheaper parts than it should have. Did the original "tune-up" items fix a problem or was that routine work by time and miles that you chose to have done?

Pre OBDII vehicles you don't get tons of info from reading codes but some that can help.

Can you test for if this is at least a random or single cylinder fault yourself? There are so many things that can make an engine run rough need to zoom in on what can too much to list all.

For now just know that when an engine isn't running properly for any reason it's harming or killing your catalytic converter now which will be its own problem if left like this too long,
