93 Suburban 5.7L fuel pump or relay Sign In

My 1993 Suburban will not start, same trouble as last year when I replaced the fuel pump and sender assembly. If I spray in some starter fluid it runs for a few seconds. I have checked the fuse for the fuel pump and its fine. I can feel the fuel pump relay unclick after a few seconds of the key being on.

Other ideas other than fuel pump went bad after less than a year? I am looking for a red test wire I can give 12V to see if the pump runs.

How does one take apart the fuel pump relay, it seems to have a little gray locking tab that slides back and forth slightly, but I can not see how to get the relay apart.

Other ideas?

The new pump could be badFrown . So could the relay. I've taken them apart but they generally aren't that expensive. Tap on it and see if it behaves which would be a good clue. If the same as the A/C relay swap them for a test, T
