93 Camry, Stalls & Misses when Warm Only Sign In

I have a 93 Camry that stalls or fells like it wants to stall when I slow down or come to a stop. When I come to a stop I have to put it in Neutral and keep the RPM's up around 11500 to 2000 so that I doesnt stall. When I take off I have to downshift into 1st to keep the RPM's up so it has enough power to take off.
This problem only happens when the car is Warm. When it is Cold it runs like a top. It has full power with no problems at all.

I change the EGR valve, PCV valve, Gas Filter, Spark Plugs, Distributor Cap, Ignition Rotor & Wire Set.

This is a 4 cyl. fuel injection engine

Is there something that I missed. I dont know what to look at next.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Randy

Just some things to check and do for now to rule out:

*check for vacuum leaks.

* check wiring connections are looking good.

* check the air cleaner housing that it's all ok

* when was the last time you used a water remover for the gas? If never make sure it's water remover and not just anti-freeze. All gas tanks get condesation in them and will cause problems.

* Timing belt? Not consistant with your problem but make sure those things are kept up with.

* Any "check Engine" light or codes?

* Fuel pressures both hot and cold?

Hit back with successes or failures or we'll keep trying, T

Re: 93 Camry, Stalls & Misses when Warm Only Sign In

the most likely culprit is the vaccum line from your pressure regulator. If this line is blocked or open it greatly varies the performance of the engine. It will affect the engine hot or cold you may just be noticing it after things loosen up from thermal expantion. Remove this line from the regulator while the engine is running, place a piece of paper over the end of the hose. The paper should draw in with noticable suction. If not check the hose or the inlet to the throttle body for blockage. Also if there is any presents of fuel in this line you have a faulty regulator which also will cause your problem.

Timming was OK
Check for vacuum leaks. OK

My mechanic, who is a friend of mine decided to look into the Ignition Coil.
And that was the problem. This Camry with 212000 miles on it is running like a champ now

I feel like I just got a new car after about a month of trying to find the problem. and changing just about every part.

Anyone who has this similar problem, look into the Ignition Coil.

Just want to Thank everyone who Helped me with this problem.

Thank Again
