The car idles rough and seems to be surging. For some reason the check engine light is not on and has never come on. The car has lost a lot of power during acceleration as well. I changed the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor and it ran better for about a week but now its the same. I used to drive it on the highway and it would clear up and run fine for a few days but now it doesn't work. The exaust smells real strong and is louder when the car is acting up.
