Hello Everyone,I bought this dodge Grand caravan (3.6) with 68k and put about 3k on it. Never had a problem with starts or anything. The engine light came on and took it to O' Rialeys and they said it is the Camshaft Position Sensor. Bought a new one replaced. Ever since that it takes 5-7 cranks on the starter to start. Mostly when cold. After it warms up it starts Perf. Talked to 5 mechanics and none have heard of this issue. Anyone hear of this issue?

Never heard of the issue?

Long cranking is a common symptom but can have many different causes.

Just because you had a Cam sensor codes doesn't mean the sensor was the cause.

There are 2 things you need to check first.

First have the computer scanned for stored codes

Then have the fuel pressure tested. Hook up the gauge before attempting to start it and then see how quickly the pressure comes up to spec. Also watch what the pressure does when the engine is shut off. We can go from there.
