2007 Nissan Maxima Sputters at start up. Put in drive sputter continues and barely any acceleration. Service Engine Soon light will blink then stay on. Faint smell of gasoline on startup when sputters. Can have days where starts and runs great. Other days it does this sputtering stuff (more frequent now). New oil & filter. New spark plugs New camshaft sensor. Only 1 sensor replaced as i just found out there are actually 2 sensors. Was told possibly coil pack is bad. Any ideas what is wrong before i just start replacing other parts

You are smelling fuel! What are you waiting for? Find out where now is a problem if not the problem. Code readings if a SES or CEL (named either) is blinking or on it has a hard code to give you direction to find the problem but raw fuel smell has to go now. If you can't spot it get help that's nuts to keep using this with that warnings or not,

Re: 2007 Nissan Maxima Sputtering Sign In

I have NOT driven since the smell of gas became stronger. I wasnt positive i was smelling a faint smell until i smelt it at a stronger odor and realized i was smelling faint smell before. Im not an idiot ( but thanks for making me feel like one )to drive with a strong smell of gas. Just a single mother on tight budget looking for advice on what problem could be before I fork out $$ and maybe have an idea from people that may know what is wrong so i can take this information against or with a mechanic that im gona have to call to come to my home to look at it.
