Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view my issue.
I have a 2004 Volvo s40 2.4 it has done a whopping 350.000km and it was going fine until one day my brother accidentally bumped another car and the front got a little bent no damage to the engine was made only the looks were damaged. We got it fixed and since then i dont really know how to explain it but sometimes at random moments the engine sounds like it gets flooded and stops giving power to the wheels when i press the gas pedal and if i stop at a light i wont be able to start again and if i try the engine turns off and after 5 minutes or so of turning the engine on it starts normally. Also, sometimes this happens when i first turn on the engine which then i can not press the gas at all or the engine will turn off and after waiting for again about 5 minutes it goes back to normal, when this happens and i wait the car sometimes starts shaking as the engine is moving from side to side i think and if i press gas the sound of the engine becomes very deep and when i get out of the car i can smell a lot of gasoline. I though that the problem was that the gas i put was not good (watered down or had something inside) but i have changed the gas twice the first time it was normal gas whereas the second time i added "super 100" which i was told would help but didnt.
Thank you again for taking the time to view my issue even if you dont answer.

p.s. I added LPG to my car and it was doing fine until again after the bump where when i turned on my a.c. the whole cabin would stink of propane so i think something happened to the engine that was not visible.

If it doesn't want to start, you should read this and post your results. If there are any trouble codes stored in the engine controller, post the numbers also.

You stated it doesn't start and you have to wait several minutes. In those several minutes, you need to see what is missing to cause it not to start. It probably won't be a compression issue, but loss of spark or injector pulse can cause a no start.

Are there any codes stored in the engine controller? Does it do this when your running on LP or gasoline? If you smell LP, you should find the leak.
