2004 Checrolet Impala SS 3.4 93,000 Miles Starts and Quits

It had a skip. Then at the store it would crank and die. Then it would not crank at all. Told to check fuel pump. It would not click or hum. Changed pump and started right up but skipping. Started home and died. Told to check fuel filter. It was stopped up. Changed and started right up but sluggish. Got it home and started skipping. Cut it off and would not restart. After 4 or 5 hours it started right up and idled smooth for about 15 minutes. Then started skipping and went dead. Would not restart. What else could it be since it seems after setting for hours it will crank ? Help

You need to use a fuel pressure gauge to find out exactly what the fuel is doing.

take off your air filter and leave the airbox open, and see if it cranks and runs, its possible its being choked out. but dont drive it like that, its purely to figure out what the problem is.

aviator99, don't give advice on subjects you know nothing about. This engine can't run with a intake removed.
