second attempt because window went blank
Have a 2003 Altima that turns over normally but won't start. Plenty of gas, check the fuel pump relay, it's ok, used starting fluid and it trys to fire off but won't keep running. Normally turns fast and starts quickly. This first happened yesterday, but after a few trys, it finally started and ran normally all day and this morning. The next time I tried to start it, the above happened and has been this way since.

Check fuel pressure. You have pretty well narrowed it down to a fuel delivery issue so just test out pressure first,

Did anything happen leading up to this problem?

Have you checked the computer for codes?

I thank you both for your answers. Upon checking the codes this morning, they indicated that the Crankshaft (actually the cam shaft on this one) Position Sensor was faulting. I replaced it (cost $34.99 + tax) and all was well. Really an easy job on this vehicle. A total of 17 min start to finish. Again, thanks for your rapid response. Pappy

Well that was a good fast find - congrats. Code(s) led you to it which is great. Just know and think you do that they direct you to the circuit with an issue but can't say exactly what part it may need.

Can't argue with success on this one,

T
