I have a 2002 Ford F150 with a 6 cylinder engine with 70,000 miles. The engine starts and dies immediately. Any thoughts?

Do you have a security light on or flashing when you try to start it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Is there a anti-theft or security light flashing when this happens? ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... Rob

It does appear that the buzzer for the door open goes on and off and I have seen the dashboard lights that normally come on with ignition are sporadic

Yes what? Do you have a security light or not? Which lights are not coming on sometimes? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I noticed that the buzzer that comes on when the keys are in the ignition and the door is open would buzz inconsistently. The lights that I noticed were the lightsthat if you turn the key to the on position didn't come on (ex. seatbelt light, door ajar, brake,)
