2001 Intruigue with recurring misfire Sign In

Hello I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.5 V-6, 135,000 miles, and have been getting a misfire on cylinder 6. I have replaced the fuel injector for that cylinder. Also have replaced fuel filter. Am thinking that it is not a fuel issue. Maybe spark plug? thanks for the help

Any codes you can get would only help. Checks all around if you know it's one cylinder always. Fuel, spark known then compression. Do make certain fluids are properly filled especially coolant in radiator not just a recovery tank.

Any other clues like recent overheat, work done other than injector which should have been proven with a noid light that it was enabled to work first.

You should have a list of codes missing totally on one so don't take them as telling you what to rather what can cause that,

Why did you go to fuel first. Spark is always the first thing to check and usually the problem.

Very true...........toss a set of plugs and wires at it 1st. This is something that needs to be down over time anyway...
