I bought this 99 Suburban running rough thinking I could do a quick fix by changing the spider injectors. Have changed out spider injector, spark plugs and fuel pump and fuel filter when idol runs rough, when in gear and driving there is no power, pops and backfires. Pulled out new spark plugs and checked them they were black. Cleaned them and put them back in and the car ran a little better, but as the car heats up and the car was driven it got worse and now runs rough with no power,. NO engine light is on and often stalls at idol plugged into computer before and after injector replacement which reads RANDOM MISFIRE. I am tired of replacing parts with having no change. It is our only vehicle and we are at a loss.. we cannot afford to take it to a shop and we just need help. if you have experienced ANYTHING similar please help us thank you

Problems like this aren't found through experience. They are found though systematic troubleshooting and testing. The first thing that needs to be done is to analyze the data stream using a scan tool to determine what is where it's supposed to be and what isn't. Since you say you have no codes I am assuming you have installed the distributor was installed correctly but that may not be the case. The cam offset has to be looked at in the sensor data for that too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It will also set a P1345 if the offset is way off. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I know that. That's why I prefaced with acknowledging that there were no codes but I still wouldn't ignore verifying that.

Sometimes I wonder. You have no money, you buy a gas guzzler that doesn't run right, and make it your only vehicle. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
