Somebody has set the distributor incorrectly. I'm assuming someone mistakenly tried to set the ignition timing and that cannot be done.
You need a professional level scan tool that can read the cam offset. Then you will turn the distributor to get it as close to 0 as possible. Any more than 4 degrees plus or minus will cause it to set the code.
