I bought a 1994 f150 with 266k miles on it, starts and runs fine. Has new distributor, new fuel pump, new water pump, new wires, new plugs, new brakes shocks and a few other little things. Like I said runs good for a while then when it warms up or sits idling at a light it starts to idle rough, stall out or hesitate upon acceleration. If I turn the key off and start the motor after turning it off it runs for a few more minutes but goes back to the rough running. Any thoughts? My mechanic can't seem to figure it out

The first advice I can give you is to change your user name before the spammers get hold of it. With the mileage you have on this you need to first determine the integrity of the mechanical unit by doing a complete compression test. It has to have a lot of internal wear. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
