i have a 1.6 16 v petrol zafira 03 covered 104000 miles. last week i had white smoke come from my exhaust for 2 seconds when 1st started in the morning. after a couple of days the engine light came on and the reading was code 400 egr flow malfunction. it drives normal 90% of time but now sometimes on deceleration slightly judders with slight smell of petrol. also there is a noise which i notice more when my accelerator is NOT down (like you put your fingers in a foam fan). no more smoke has came out. what could this be? i had full service and clean + new coil 3 months ago. please help as can't afford another £500 and don't want to be ripped off :0(

To be honest I won't be able to get any information on this car. Courious if it has a EGR cooler, sounds like that may be your problem if you do. Just a gusse I would get it diaged properly first. Usally to test a EGR cooler you put a vauum on the cooling system and see if it looses vacuum. It could be head/gaskets/block related too.
