Sign In Have a 1989 Camaro RS. Service Engine Light is on-have changed plugs, wires, cap, roter. Light still on. Tried getting codes via the paperclip and the light remains solid-no flashing 12 or anything. Any suggestions? Sign In Local autoparts store said they can't read the codes from a car this old. Where else can I find this tool? The engine has a high idle and when the gas is pressed, boggs down... Sign In I said PROFESSIONAL scan tool. I'm not talking about the $50 code reader they use. They work on OBD2 generic only.
