Low PSI in cylander #4

Honda 2003-Accord, AutoTrany- Lost PSI in cylander #4. car was not running well, changes the engine for about 2000 ( engine has 50K miles) car is as good as new. Question, why one cylinder bad, not all. Anything I could have done to prevented? I has 3 othe JAp cars with miles all over 250K miles, this has 268500, when engine died

Nobody can advise you on how to prevent a problem if you don't even know what the problem is yet.
You may know there is something serious wrong with that engine but you don't know what it is yet.
