I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota. I am getting the error code P0404. Could the be a bad egr valve? Some one told me that this truck has 2 on it.
Can some one please help me out

Code P0404 relates to the EGR position sensor performance.
The code sets when the computer expects that the EGR position should be in one position but the sensor is telling it that its not.
This sensor is part of the EGR valve assembly; most times when I see this code it means replacing the assembly.
But don’t run out and buy a new EGR just on this off the wall diagnosis. There are test procedures to confirm this; I suggest taking the truck in and finding out for sure.
No there’s only one EGR valve on this vehicle.
