2000 Mitsubishi Diamante ES
140,500 miles
Just started getting "service engine soon" light. Mad

According to the mechanic, the code is reading 1751. He stated this means automatic transmission relay malfunction; possibly the PCM, control module, or open/shorted transmission circuit.

How costly should I expect the repairs to be?

This is what it's going to take to answer that question.

Your mechanic is going to have to diagnose the problem first before determining what needs replacement or repair before giving you an estimate. There is going to be a diagnostic charge, so you might want to ask what that is.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
