My engine light was on on my 2000 Hyundai Sonata my mechanic said the code said to replace the charcoal canister so he did he reset the computer I drove it and the engine light came back on so he replaced some sensor up by the firewall of the car and reset the computer. I have been driving it now for almost a thousand miles in different drive conditions and I can't get all the monitors to read ready. The tester says 3 still incomeplete. Evap, cat, and O2. I have researched the drive cycle for the car and find one for my car.

Are there any trouble codes stored? Engine temperature not coming up to operating temp to an O2 sensor not working properly can cause monitors to not run . Your mechanic is going to have to look at the engine data stream to be sure everything looks right and to be sure there are no trouble codes being stored on the manufacture side. Some trouble codes won't illuminate the check engine lamp. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
