My engine light has been on for a year, I had it checked and replaced one of the coils at that time. 3 days ago I started it up and the engine light started to blink and it was running rough. My mechanic checked the codes and it said misfire on 1 & 4. He said my spark plugs were bad (2 of them) but we replaced all 4. car still running rough & engine light still blinking, he said I needed to replace the other coil pack. Replaced it and he checked the wires it is still running rough with engine light blinking. He said there was oil on the plugs and he used some kind of cleaner to get the oil off the engine. I left my top off when i put oil in it. for one day. The engine shakes when you put in in gear, in neutral and park it doesn't. It's burning gasoline like crazy and its slow to pick up...takes a while to get it to get the speed up. The person behind me is blowing his horn it takes so long! Now he says I need motor mounts also. And that I can drive it. I read somewhere that it could be my converter and that I shouldn't be driving it. Help I drive my car all day long from house to house and on the freeway. I need it.

Sounds like this guy has done enough guessing and throwing parts at it.
It's time to do some testing for sure. With that kind of mileage you need to start with a complete compression test.
