2010 Ford Focus Transmission Light on and P0320 OBD II code

When I'm driving down the road at a cruise speed, the car will start cutting back (just like your in too high of a gear in a manual transmission car) and the transmission (wrench) light will come on, then shortly after that the engine light will come on throwing a P0320 code. Sometimes when driving when all this is happening it's like the fuel pump will just shut off killing the engine. I have to turn the key off then start the engine back up then the car runs fine for a few seconds then the process starts all over again. But what gets me is if the car is under a load (accelerating, or climbing a hill etc.) it does just fine. I'm completely clueless on this one. I've checked the spark plugs, coils, etc. in reference to the P0320 code with no success. Does anyone have any suggestions?  It's no longer under warranty, it's like when the car passed 60,000 miles Ford turned on a piss me off switch........
