Hello everyone,
We own a 2003 Mazda Tribute with 36,000 miles on it. Once again our airbag light has come on, first a few blinks, then a few more than solid red.

This happend in 2008 also and the Mazda dealer couldn't help because the light went off by the time we got there.

However, we did giggle the wires under the seat, realizing that it happened after I vaccumed the underneath of the seats!

It went off. Now the light is back on. I guess from all the threads on the net we will be giggling it again. Anyone know if there is a recall for this problem by Mazda? Thanks Safe Driving all!FrownCool

The light going off does not stop them from diagnosing it. The system has memory and captures all the available data.

You are correct! My friend who is a mechanic came by tonight. Said it is a common problem in the car. He went under the seats and reconnected the connector I hit when I was vaccuming last week! Problem solved.

Thanks for your input.
