I have a 1994 Bonneville. It has the 16 pin OBD2 connector. From what I've read it has the OBD2 connector but reads out OBD1 codes so it's kind of an oddball deal. I was going to try to get a read out with the paper clip trick but don't want to guess which port to stick the other end into. Or maybe it's not possible or recommended for this oddball. It only has wires to pins 4,5,9,14,16. I have been trying to figure out which pins are which. So far all I know for sure is 4 and 5 are grounds.

Yep, you have a hybrid if a system and it's the only one that you can't get flash codes nor can you use a code reader. You need a professional OBD1 scan tool.
