P0453 comes up as pending and comfirmed right after clearing it , trying to get an inspection , should I just replace the sensor or is there something else I should check , the mech. says it's by the gas tank , thanks

You going to have to do some voltage checks at the sensor and do a good visual inspection of the connector and terminals to determine if it is the sensor or not.

Black is ground
Grey is 5 volt with key on
Dark green is the signal wire. If you unplug it, you should have 5 volts.

If all that is good, more than like you have a failed sensor.

The fuel tank pressure sensor is on top of the sending unit. You can get to it by removing the floor access panel in the trunk.

I pulled the disconnect and got the 5 volts at the gray wire , the green wire had nothing but being a signal wire it would have to be plugged in to get a voltage ? ?

Make sure the black wire is a good ground and then
unplug the sensor and turn the ignition on to see if you get dtc P0452 to show up? If you do, replace the sensor.

The factory diagram contradicts the troubleshooting chart. The pressure sensor circuit is probably a pull up design and not a pull down as in the diagram.

You may have cleared the code but check to see if the monitors have completed yet.

You're posting the same answer to two different threads.

We only need one going on this subject so I'll close this one now.
