Hello everyone this is 2011 journey 2.4 engine. the wiper motor runs when the switch is off. and the turn signals are not working. after I replace the switch the turn signals start working properly but the motor turn on some times while the switch is of. could this be the park switch inside the wiper motor please help. and thank you all.

The wiper relays are controlled by the BCM and are inside the PDM so you will likely need an enhanced scan tool to diagnose the issue.

hello again so the only think to test the wiper motor relay is by the scan tool, is that what you are suggesting. there is no relay for the wiper motor on the fuses box so i can swap with known good. if can provide the picture of the relay and location please send me, again thank you so much.

The relays are incorporated into the PDM so they are not serviceable separately. If they are bad you have to change the whole PDM.

I don't think these relays are serviceable but check and see.

You can follow the wiring diagram and test for relay switching coming from the BCM.
When you go into the scan tool you can look at data to see if the relays are being activated on and off.

Hi there there is a new development on this issue. when I turn the stirring wheel to one side half way everything worked fine, then I figured something is shorting the wiper circuit, i took the stirring cover off and check a wire with bad insulation, for now i didn't see any, but when I unplug the air bug harness the wiper and the turn signals star working fine. I my guess is the air bug circuit is shorting the wiper circuit, what should I do to find the problem i need your ideas again thank you and God bless.

It looks like you are getting way out of your league here. There are multiple components that are intertwined with each other. You need to access all these modules.
OPERATION
The multi-function switch uses resistor multiplexing to control the many functions and features it provides using a minimal number of hard wired circuits. The switch receives clean grounds from the Steering Control Module (SCM) internal to the switch housing, then provides resistor multiplexed return outputs to the SCM to indicate the selected switch positions.
The SCM, which is also a Local Interface Network (LIN) data bus slave, sends electronic switch status messages over the LIN bus to the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) integral to the clockspring. The SAS is both a LIN data bus master and a gateway to the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus. The SAS relays electronic switch request messages over the CAN data bus to other electronic modules in the vehicle.
If the SCM detects no inputs from the multi-function switch, it transmits an electronic Signal Not Available (SNA) status message over the LIN data bus. The SNA status signals the other electronic modules to implement a fail-safe or default mode of operation. For the exterior lighting system, the multi-function switch fail-safe mode automatically selects LOW beams when the headlamps are turned ON. For the wiper system, the multi-function switch fail-safe mode will maintain the last selected wiper system mode of operation for the remainder of the current ignition cycle, after which the wiper system will default to OFF.
Some of the hard wired input and output circuits for the multi-function switch and SCM unit may be diagnosed using conventional diagnostic tools and procedures. Refer to the appropriate wiring information. However, the most reliable, efficient and accurate means to diagnose this component requires the use of a diagnostic scan tool. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.
