Check the bulb sockets for those involved for corrosion or poor contact and correct bulbs. The noted difference that they work when car is running and not when off is the voltage available is higher when running and may overcome weak contacts?

Thank you Tom. Problem not resolved but function improved. I suspect hazard switch.

Re: turn signal/hazard light Sign In

What is "right" side doing wrong- too dim, blinks slow front and rear or what? Did you check the bulbs and sockets? Just general but these sockets can share a ground to body metal at their area and doesn't make it well to other side. Some double up wires right at back side of sockets and corrode too.

If working at all could be a chase to find the fault and be sure of it. I'll let you check but flasher unit should or usually separate flasher and directional still work with flasher removed. Some share one and dunno for this car.

If a lens or accident was replaced/repaired I would look there first,

T
