signal problems Sign In

Hello,

I have a 89 olds delta 88. I am having problems with my turn signals. This is the situation.

All of my lights work except for my turn signals. However, I can make the turn signals work with these actions.

1) Turn on my headlights at night or secondary lights during the day.
2) If the car is in drive.
3) If I move the lever up and down manually to indicate the turn.

All of the above actions need to be done otherwise nothing happens.

Now the lights will blink outside but never on the dash. The hazard lights flash outside and inside normally.

Hope for answers.

dont you have to move the lever up and down to indicate a turn regardless of what car you're in?

Not if it is operating correctly. It should automatically blink when it clicks into position to turn left or right. In my case I actually have to move the lever up and down to simulate the blinking action that normally should occur in any automobile.
