power door locks Sign In

Mad I have a 1994 pontiac sunbird. All electrical components work well, except for the power door locks. I have narrowed the problem down to either the lock module or the relays. how ever i'am unable to locate them. If anyone could help me i would appreciate it very much. Locations or wiring diagrams may help.

thanks!!

Re: power door locks Sign In

Perhaps I read something wrong but if all locks don't work it should be a relay or fuse. If just one - the lock motor is more likely.

The controling fuse and any relay should be listed in owner's manual. With locations. The other possiblility is a broken wire where they bend in driver's door jam - out of sight in the snorkel looking thing. Hope it's something simple. It would be unusual for both motors to be bad.

A simple check for power is to put on dome lite, close the door with car off and see if it dims a bit with door lock open or lock request, if so - motors have power and go from there,

Here’s a wiring diagram for the lock system, sorry for the size of the image. I didn’t think you’d be able to read it any smaller.
Dan.
