i have a 1994 buick park avenue and the headlights won't come on unless engine is running.the headlight switch or parking light switch won't activate and both are different switches in the door panel. had it to a garage and they said it might be a headlight module,behind the glove box? i can't find such a critter listed at rockauto or car-parts used pieces.could this be on the right track,or what might it be.

He very likely may be on the right track. This thing is buried pretty far under the dash.
