neeed help with roof light

Hello i have a mitshubishi lancer GDI 2001. I wanted to change my light in the car and i had a short. i changed the fuse but now the light its working only on the ON button when i open the doors the light is not working. The sensors are good because i see the dors opend in the bord of the car just i have no light inside. i know that i have a sistem conected from the sensor to the car inside light because when you close the dors the light goes off in few seconds slowly slowly so it means somenting was burn in that sistem. does anyone know where that sistem is located?

Have you tested for signals arriving at the light because it sounds like a bad light.
We don't have that car here so I don't have a wiring diagram to see how it's wired but the actual switching should be done right at the light.
