hazard problem Can't Post

I'm having problems with my car's hazard. SOmetimes when I start the engine, the hazard just lights up by itself. I press the button to turn it off but it still goes on. I turn off the engine and it continues to light up by itself for a certain time then it stops.. when i restart the engine.. it continues to light up. A gas boy/mechanic from a gas station told me that there could be faulty wiring somewhere... please give me some professional advice. Thanks
