When i try to start the car i hear a loud click from the starter. I replaced the starter and it still does it. I tried to tap it with a hammer while starting it to see if it might be stuck or something; still doesnt work. Checked the wires and there is good current between both ends. Removed and inspected the starter relay; its good. Any other ideas out there on this conundrum? Much appreciated. Will it work from a jump start? If so - trash an old battery - they are old in my opinion at three years old! The wires were corroded right behind the clamp, and would show a 12 volt current but when I tried to turn it over, the voltage would drop, so i stripped back the wire, cut off the corrodness, reattached the clamp and works perfeclty. Stumped me for the longest time.
