electrical problem

i have 89 transport. the instrument lights tail lights, head lights not working. warning bell goes off when i open drivers door with no key in ignition

After you have checked for any burnt or dead fuses, pull the switch out of the dash so you can get at the wiring. Check whether you have power on the red wire and the orange wire, those are the feeds to the switch. If so now turn on the light switch, you now should have power on the brown wire and the yellow/black wire. If not change the switch, if you do have power on all four wires check that the black wire has ground.
