duel battery system

hi guys
i have a duel battery setup (revolution) it seems to be working but are you supposed to get current draw from secondary battery when you crank to start its like they arn,t seperated any ideas

About all OE set ups use both all the time and both charged by alternator all the time engine is running.
If non OE look. I can't guess that.
Know this: On dual battery set ups if one shorts and fails it will take out both. Those set ups both batteries should be a matched pair all the time such that if one is bad do both with exact same ones, same age too marked on batteries,
