1985 chevy silverado 350 . i put a new motor in it and replaced the v belt system with a gm serpintine set up. im useing a one wire alt directly to the batt. at the starter i have the pos battery hooked up with the accesory wires as it was before. then of course i have the ignition wire on it as well on thecorrect terminal.
the problem is that i now have constant power to the truck at all times(draining the batt).... if i unplug the accesory wire, then i get no power at all.
